Same result...Different story.

After a long and hilly ride yesterday, I wasn't sure how my legs would feel today but after a decent warm up I felt good and ready to race. I ended up around 5th row after gridding, roughly 30/40 riders back, not a great position but I thought it would be fairly easy to move up into the top 10 within a lap. I was wrong. It was certainly possible, but having the poor start that I had and crashing just coming up to the hurdles before the end of the lap, I was back in around 25th place as the front of the race gathered pace and left me for dead.

I spent the rest of the race constantly passing riders and getting myself closer to the front group. A couple of bike changes mid-race halted my momentum but once I was comfortable again, I found my rhythm and continued to move up finishing off the race in 5th place, same result as last week but I was riding a pace that would have put me at the front of the race which is where I aimed to be, so I am definately looking forward to the National Trophy next week after some solid training behind me.

Thanks

Taylor
