I have finally created a blog as I look to take on a more professional outlook as I make the step up to under 23/Senior level. I will try and keep it updated as regularly as I can with posts on my racing and more.
I have begun my cyclo-cross season this week with cross training mid-week and my first local race today in Brighton. After a lot of time off and steady training to keep myself fresh for later in the year I found today's race tough. I started well, got into the front group but as we hit the first climb, not racing for 2 months hit me, cyclo-cross is such an intense discipline as it is basically flat out for an hour so I think it is safe to say I am not anywhere near 100% race fit but it was a good indicator and I really enjoyed my first race back on the cross bike. I ended up 5th, an okay result considering but I hope to improve every race from now on building up to the National Championships in January.
That's it for now, look out for my next post soon.
Thanks
Taylor
